5 Fandom Friday: 5 Fictional Couples I Ship

I’m very excited to finally join in on the 5 Fandom Friday series, especially with such a great topic!

  1. Buffy & Spike (Buffy The Vampire Slayer)via Pinterest.
    via Pinterest.

I know that Angel was her first & I thought he was an amazing character, but Spike was able to love Buffy without a soul!  That is craziness & speaks volumes to his depth as a character.

  2. Hitomi & Van (The Vision of Escaflowne)

I won’t give any spoilers away for any of you who still haven’t gotten a chance to watch this incredible anime series (don’t watch the movie adaptation first, for it is not faithful to this TV series), but these two were made for each other.

  3. Joey & Pacey (Dawson’s Creek)

Dawson was such an idiot & I was never quite sure what was his problem. Pacey, however, was all about Joey.  I admit that I am enamored with Joshua Jackson to this day because he was Pacey.

  4. Fred & Gunn (Angel)

Why couldn’t these two have lasted longer?! Damn you, Joss, & your tortured love stories! <shakes fist>

  5. Princess Leia & Han

Both are such badasses in their own right, but together (plus Chewy) they are unstoppable! Quite possibly, my first ship.

Honorable Mentions:

Bones & Booth (Bones)
Amy & Rory (Doctor Who)
The 10th Doctor & Rose (Doctor Who)
Ponyo & Sousuke (Ponyo)
Chihiro & Haku (Spirited Away)
Hawkeye & Mustang (Full Metal Alchemist)

So, there you go!  Please feel free to leave me a comment about what you thought of my list &/or suggest a link-back.

I totally forgot about Fred and Gunn! I loved them in Angel! I was very sad when that love story ended. I love Spike and Buffy too!!

    Love,

Thanks for commenting, Jenn! I really love the Whedonverse because it allows for all kinds of representations of women, not just the unfeeling, strong one or the fraile, damsel in distress.

Spike was better than Angel, I just have to say it. There was something pure about his feeling for Buffy. Plus even after she died he still looked after Dawn. A little evil with a heart of gold

Absolutely! Spike loved Buffy as a vampire without being cursed with a soul. Angel was only able to love because he had a soul; we saw that Angelus was straight up evil. Spike was definitely messed up, but he loved Buffy as he was.
